ANKI is a Great Tool
It is, probably, the most poplar program that people use to learn vocabulary (and other things in numerous areas from medicine to geography). The learning process based on flashcards is quite simple and allows to achieve great results.
I used ANKI a lot when I was learning English and preparing for IELTS. That’s why I decided to share my knowledge and encourage you to start using ANKI to boost your vocabulary growth.
There is one thing I want you to keep in mind. For the first time it may look a bit difficult to understand how to use ANKI and its interface. Don’t give up too early. After some time you will grasp the idea of how it works and love it. Believe me.
What’s more, with ANKI, it is possible to create your own vocabulary lists (they called “decks” in ANKI) and learn the words you want to focus on primarily. Another way is to import and use someone’s deck (shared deck). It can save you a lot of time and there are tens of available deck in ANKIweb.
I hope my tutorial will make it much easier for you to get started with ANKI. What’s more, once you learn how to use it you can download and use my Topic Vocabulary Lists ( ANKI decks) focused on common topics taken from IELTS.
